Boise to Bend!

Backyard in Bend

Deschutes River

We left Moab last week traveling via Boise to Bend. Boise is home to the blue turf of Boise State University and a very cool downtown district. We only spent two days there but left with an impression of a town very much worth visiting. We arrived in Bend last weekend and are beginning to get settled in. Our house is awesome and located just a block from the Old Town area. The town is incredibly vibrant and must have more kayak & bike shops than any other place in the country. Live music is everywhere and Jack has joined the local busking crowd. The common bond of hoops has already played a lead role in our daily activity as the boys join other Bend school kids for pick up basketball. The Deschutes River runs though town and kayaks, paddle boards and canoes flock down stream. The people have been really friendly and quirky...we have already had a healthy dose of free spirited Oregon locals! The colors of spring are amazing and we are looking forward to uncovering the rest of what Bend has to offer, especially the beer garden that is conveniently located across the street...

  1. You are amongst "My People." Let me know if they accept you into the tribe?
